Hymn of the Month

My hope is built on nothing less

Words by Edward Mote (pictured at right)
Music By William B. Bradbury

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus' name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest upon unchanging grace;
In ev'ry rough and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, his covenant, his blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When I shall launch in worlds unseen,
O may I then be found in him;
Dressed in his righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne

This is my 3 year olds favorite Hymn at the moment... she wants to know all the words so we sing it all the time. What a great Hymn for her to sing. I pray that she will always put her hope in Jesus Christ. May His grace, support and righteousness always surround her.

Since I can't get the MIDI player to work I'm going to send you to Cyber Hymnal to listen to the song,
